Who can take part
- You must have a confirmed diagnosis of adenocarcinoma (the most common type) of the rectum.
- Your tumor must be at a stage where it has not spread to distant organs (cM0).
- You must not have had radiation therapy to the pelvic area before.
- You must be 18 years or older and have a good performance status (ECOG 0 or 1, meaning you are fully active or only limited in physically strenuous activity).
- You must have adequate blood counts and liver function (as determined by your doctor).
