Sodium MRI scan to study heart salt changes in kidney disease

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have chronic kidney disease for more than 3 months (or are on hemodialysis for more than 3 months)
  • If you are a healthy control, you do not have kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, liver cirrhosis, or swelling in your legs
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and do not plan pregnancy during the study
  • You can safely have an MRI scan
