Nerve-block catheters plus spinal morphine for liver surgery pain

Who can take part

  • You are scheduled to have a liver surgery (hepatic resection).
  • Your hospital anesthesia team (or admitting service) is requesting an Acute Pain Service consult.
  • You are over 18 years old and able to sign consent.
  • You do not have a pregnancy planned or confirmed at the time of surgery.
  • You are able to clearly communicate with the research team and hospital staff. (You can understand and respond.)
  • Your body weight is not in the BMI over 40 range.
