Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older).
  • Your imaging shows a spinal metastasis from a solid (non-blood) cancer.
  • There is spinal cord compression that is imminent or already happening (this may cause symptoms like weakness, numbness, or pain, but symptoms may or may not be present).
  • You can take part by signing informed consent (you or a legally authorized representative/proxy).
  • Your doctors plan treatment with surgery plus SBRT, or if surgery is not possible, SBRT alone.
  • You have not had radiation (SBRT or similar) to the same spine level before, and you can still safely receive additional SBRT there.
