Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You must have cancer that has spread to your spine, confirmed by a scan or biopsy.
  • You must have had surgery on your spine within the last 4 weeks and still have some pressure on your spinal cord afterward.
  • You cannot have more than 5 tumors in your spine, and each tumor must be 5 centimeters or smaller.
  • You should be generally well enough to care for yourself (a Karnofsky score of 60% or higher, or an ECOG score of 2 or less).
