Who can take part

  • You have cancer that has spread to your spine, causing pain.
  • The painful spots are in your mid to low back (T5 to L5 vertebrae).
  • You have 1 or 2 affected vertebrae, and the bone damage is mostly from the tumor dissolving bone.
  • You are 18 or older and your doctor expects you to live more than 3 months.
  • Your pain score is more than 3 on a 0-10 scale (0 is no pain, 10 is worst).
  • You are in good enough health to walk and care for yourself (ECOG 0-2).
