Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with alcohol use disorder for at least 12 months
  • You have been free of substance use (or otherwise stable) for at least 48 hours
  • Your usual psychiatric medicines must be stable for the past month (except standard alcohol-abstinence treatments)
  • You do not have medical conditions that could make the brain stimulation unsafe
  • You do not have a history of epileptic seizures (in you or your close family)
  • You do not have severe manic symptoms (a screening score must be 12 or less)
