Study drug for pancreatic cancer after first treatment stops working
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This Phase 2 study tests how well olaptesed plus pembrolizumab works with irinotecan or with gemcitabine plus nab-paclitaxel in people with metastatic pancreatic cancer that keeps growing after standard first treatment. It may help control the cancer by changing how the body fights tumors and by delivering chemotherapy differently.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have pancreatic cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and is confirmed by lab tests (biopsy or fluid sample).
- Your tumor is microsatellite-stable (MSS) if that test was done; if not yet tested, it must be checked using your tumor sample data.
- You already tried standard first-line chemotherapy (gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel or FOLFIRINOX or modified FOLFIRINOX) and your scans showed clear progression, then you stopped that treatment.
- You have at least one measurable tumor spot on scan (the study team will confirm this).
- Your body is strong enough for treatment: performance status 0–1 and blood/organ tests are within required limits (bone marrow, kidneys, liver, and blood clotting).
- You are expected to live at least 3 months, based on your doctor’s assessment.

This trial tests a combination of four drugs (surufatinib, camrelizumab, nab-paclitaxel, and gemcitabine) as a first treatment for people whose pancreatic cancer has spread to other parts of the body. The goal is to see if this combination helps shrink tumors and improve survival.
This study compares two chemotherapy strategies for people with advanced pancreatic cancer who have not yet had treatment. The goal is to see if switching to a different chemotherapy combination (gemcitabine plus nab-paclitaxel) after initial treatment works better than staying on the original chemotherapy (modified FOLFIRINOX).
This Phase 2 study compares two chemotherapy combinations to treat metastatic pancreatic cancer that has progressed after gemcitabine (with or without Abraxane). It aims to see which combination works better and is tolerable for people with measurable disease.
This trial tests a combination of immunotherapy (adebelimab) and chemotherapy drugs (irinotecan liposome, oxaliplatin, fluorouracil, and calcium folinate) as a first treatment for pancreatic cancer that has spread to the liver. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and effective.
This trial tests whether a combination of chemotherapy drugs (NALIRIFOX) is effective as a first treatment for pancreatic cancer that has spread. It also studies how gut bacteria affect the success of a second treatment with gemcitabine and paclitaxel. The goal is to find better ways to treat pancreatic cancer by personalizing therapy.
This trial compares two combinations of chemotherapy drugs for people with advanced pancreatic cancer whose first treatment stopped working. The study tests whether adding oxaliplatin and bevacizumab to liposomal irinotecan works better than a standard combination.
