Exercise during treatment for soft tissue sarcoma in an arm or leg

Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This trial studies whether adding an exercise program helps people with soft tissue sarcoma in an arm or leg during a planned treatment course. The treatment they look at is radiation before surgery, then surgery to remove the tumor, and they want to see how exercise affects outcomes and recovery.

Prehab program before treatment for deep leg soft tissue cancer

This trial tests an individualized “prehab” program (exercises and preparation before treatment) to improve recovery and surgical outcomes for adults with deep soft tissue sarcoma in the leg. It’s meant to help your body be as ready as possible for radiotherapy and surgery.

NCT06506838Recruiting· Phase 4
Anlotinib, chemo, and radiation before sarcoma surgery

This trial tests combining anlotinib (a targeted therapy), doxorubicin (chemotherapy), and radiation given before surgery to shrink high-grade soft tissue sarcomas. The goal is to make the tumor easier to remove and improve outcomes.

NCT06087861Recruiting· Phase 2
Short course radiation before sarcoma surgery

This trial tests a shorter course of radiation (just 5 days) before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma. The goal is to see if a brief, high-dose radiation schedule works as well as or better than the usual longer course—and may be more convenient for you.

NCT04776525Recruiting· Phase 2
Chemotherapy before surgery for certain soft tissue sarcomas

This trial tests a step-by-step (sequential) chemotherapy plan given before surgery for adults with specific types of soft tissue sarcoma. The goal is to shrink or control the tumor before the operation and see how well this approach works and is tolerated.

Study of atezolizumab with chemo and radiation for high-risk sarcoma

This trial tests a combination of immunotherapy (atezolizumab), chemotherapy (doxorubicin), and radiation before and after surgery for people with high-risk soft tissue sarcoma in the arm, leg, or trunk. The goal is to see if this approach can improve outcomes.
