Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and can sign consent for the study
- You have chronic pain and are taking an opioid pain medicine every day
- You plan to taper (slowly reduce) your opioid dose during the study
- You can reduce your opioid dose by at least one dose step during the 12 weeks
- Your kidney function test shows GFR above 50 (your study team can confirm)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
