Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and can sign consent for the study
  • You have chronic pain and are taking an opioid pain medicine every day
  • You plan to taper (slowly reduce) your opioid dose during the study
  • You can reduce your opioid dose by at least one dose step during the 12 weeks
  • Your kidney function test shows GFR above 50 (your study team can confirm)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
