Who can take part
- You are approved for bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, and your sleeve gastrectomy is planned
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or higher
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- Your blood counts are adequate: hemoglobin is high enough (≥12 for men, ≥11 for women)
- You can speak and understand French and you will sign the consent form after reading the information
