Who can take part

  • Be older than 20 years old when joining (born after 1987)
  • Live in Taiwan and were fully vaccinated as a baby (at least 3 hepatitis B doses)
  • Current blood tests show you do not have hepatitis B protection (negative antibody) and you do not have current infection (negative surface antigen)
  • You have never had hepatitis B vaccine again during childhood or the teen years
  • You agree (with the study team) to receive 1–2 hepatitis B vaccine doses based on the group you are assigned to
  • Be healthy enough for a vaccine study (your doctor says it’s safe)
