Who can take part
- Your child is in the pediatric ICU (PICU).
- Your child has been on a breathing machine (invasive ventilation) through a tube in the nose or mouth for at least 48 hours by PICU Day 3.
- The plan involves the child being able to safely participate—no plans to stop life support within the next 48 hours.
- Your child does NOT currently have an open chest or open belly (open chest/abdomen surgery wound).
- Your child is not using a heart-lung machine called ECMO right now.
