Who can take part
- You are having planned (not emergency) VATS lung surgery, such as wedge, segment, two-lobe, or full-lobe removal
- You are over 18 years old and can give informed consent
- Your overall health is considered acceptable (ASA class 1 to 4)
- You do not have an allergy to local anesthetic medicines
- Your BMI is 40 or less
- You do not have infection in the chest wall or anywhere else
