  • Age 18–65 years
  • Scheduled for elective (planned, non-emergency) video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery—a minimally invasive chest procedure
  • BMI between 18 and 35 kg/m² (healthy weight range)
  • Overall health status ASA I–III (generally healthy to moderately ill, not critically ill)
  • Able to understand and use a patient-controlled pain device and report your pain level
  • No allergy to local anesthetics, active infection at injection site, blood clotting disorder, or chronic opioid use
