Who can take part

  • You’re age 30 or older and can aim to treat both sides of your symptoms, with the other side treated at about 6 months
  • You can understand the study and sign informed consent, and you can attend all study visits
  • A specialist has diagnosed you with Parkinson’s disease, and it has been confirmed by functional neurosurgeons
  • Your Parkinson’s symptoms improve with levodopa (Parkinson’s medication)
  • When you’re not taking Parkinson’s meds, your Parkinson severity score is 30 or higher
  • You do not have major problem findings on the pull-back test, and your symptoms are not from antipsychotic side effects
