  • You are between 18 and 84 years old.
  • You have confirmed rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer) based on pre-op pathology.
  • Your doctors plan a curative surgery called total mesorectal excision.
  • Your overall health for anesthesia is in ASA class I, II, or III.
  • You can give written informed consent to join the study.
