Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer).
  • Your tumor is located between 1 and 7 cm from the anal verge (the opening of the rectum).
  • Your cancer is at a stage where it has not spread to distant organs (M0) and is limited to T1-T3.
  • You are healthy enough to undergo laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.
  • You do not require lateral lymph node dissection (removal of lymph nodes) as part of your surgery.
