Bioartificial liver treatment using hiHep cells after liver surgery

Who can take part

  • You have a liver condition needing liver resection (like liver cancer or certain liver tumors or hepatolithiasis)
  • Your liver function is in the Child A or Child B range
  • You are expected to have less than 50% of your normal liver volume remaining after surgery
  • You can safely have surgery based on heart and breathing checks
  • You do not have serious brain bleeding or major late-stage brain symptoms
  • You meet blood oxygen, blood clotting, and blood/platelet safety requirements for surgery
