Biopsy and spinal fluid testing for newly diagnosed brain lymphoma

Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have newly diagnosed primary CNS lymphoma (a type of lymphoma mainly in the brain), or possibly a control condition related to high-risk CNS lymphoma
  • Have available test results: scans (radiology), spinal fluid sample, and a brain tissue sample (biopsy) that is fresh or preserved
  • Be able to safely have a brain biopsy and a lumbar puncture (spinal tap)
  • Be able to receive lymphoma treatment by IV (chemo-immunotherapy) and/or whole-brain radiation if needed, with no major contraindications
