Brentuximab plus nivolumab for Hodgkin lymphoma after prior treatment

Recurrent Classic Hodgkin LymphomaRefractory Classic Hodgkin Lymphoma

Treatments studied

Part of Blood & lymphatic, Cancer clinical trials.

This Phase 2 study tests brentuximab and nivolumab (two anti-cancer medicines) in people with classical Hodgkin lymphoma that has come back or did not respond to earlier treatment. It may help by attacking lymphoma cells in different ways, especially after limited options from prior therapies.

Who can take part

  • You have classical Hodgkin lymphoma confirmed by lab testing (a biopsy/other tissue test).
  • You are 12 years or older and able to do study activities (Lansky score for ages 12–18, or ECOG score for adults).
  • Your lymphoma has measurable disease—at least one tumor/lymph node mass bigger than 1.5 cm.
  • You have had no more than one prior “type” of treatment that determines your study group: either (Cohort A) one brentuximab-containing treatment with no checkpoint inhibitors, or (Cohort B) one checkpoint-inhibitor treatment (nivolumab or pembrolizumab) with no brentuximab.
  • You cannot have had a prior bone marrow transplant (autologous or allogeneic).
  • Your body counts and organ tests are adequate (blood counts, kidney/liver tests), and side effects from prior treatment—especially nerve damage—are mild (no worse than grade 1).

NCT07572123Not yet recruiting· Phase 2/Phase 3
Immunotherapy Added to Chemotherapy for Relapsed Hodgkin Lymphoma

This trial tests whether adding a type of immune-boosting drug (called checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy) after high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplant helps people with Hodgkin lymphoma that has returned or didn't respond to initial treatment. The goal is to see if this combination works better than chemotherapy and transplant alone.

NCT05675410Recruiting· Phase 3
Testing two-drug treatment versus standard for Hodgkin lymphoma

This Phase 3 study compares today’s standard treatment for classic Hodgkin lymphoma with a new combination using brentuximab vedotin and nivolumab. The goal is to see which approach works better and is safe for newly diagnosed patients with early-stage disease.

NCT04561206Recruiting· Phase 2
Brentuximab plus nivolumab for relapsed Hodgkin lymphoma

This Phase 2 trial studies brentuximab vedotin plus nivolumab in people whose classical Hodgkin lymphoma has come back or did not respond to treatment. It aims to shrink tumors and improve control of the disease, especially when standard options like transplant are not possible.

Duarte, California
NCT04685616Recruiting· Phase 3
Testing brentuximab with standard chemo for early Hodgkin lymphoma

This Phase 3 trial studies whether adding brentuximab vedotin to standard chemotherapy improves outcomes for people with newly diagnosed early-stage classical Hodgkin lymphoma. It may help reduce the chance the cancer returns or improves how well treatment works.

Stanford, California
NCT05180097Recruiting· Phase 2
Immunotherapy with stem cell transplant for relapsed Hodgkin lymphoma

This Phase 2 trial tests whether pembrolizumab plus brentuximab works better than standard chemotherapy followed by an autologous stem cell transplant for people whose classic Hodgkin lymphoma has come back or did not respond. It may help by improving cancer control before and around stem cell transplant and by comparing outcomes between the two treatment approaches.

Concord, New South Wales
NCT05313243Recruiting· Phase 2
Pembrolizumab plus brentuximab for relapsed T-cell lymphoma

This Phase 2 study tests pembrolizumab together with brentuximab for people whose T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma has come back or stopped responding to treatment. It may help shrink the lymphoma and improve long-term control by boosting the immune system and targeting a protein called CD30.
