Who can take part
- You must have medulloblastoma or ependymoma that has returned (first or second relapse) and was confirmed by prior tissue testing
- The tumor must be reachable enough for the doctors to do a surgery or biopsy and collect enough tissue for study
- You must have had at least one previous treatment, and you must have recovered from past treatment side effects before enrolling
- If you had radiation, it must be at least 12 weeks since key radiation, and at least 14 days since any small-port palliative radiation
- Age must be 12 months to 39 years, and your general health tests must be strong enough (blood counts, kidney and liver tests)
- You must not be on other cancer medicines during the study (steroids are allowed if dose is stable or decreasing)
