  • Be able to understand and speak English
  • Be able to give informed consent (agree to take part after learning about the study)
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of epilepsy
  • Be scheduled for long-term in-hospital video monitoring to map where seizures start
  • Have implanted depth electrodes in the left or right amygdala, hippocampus, and nearby memory-related cortex areas
