Testing a pre-surgery breathing and heart check tool

This study is developing and checking how well a pre-surgery evaluation system (using objective body measurements) can predict and help around the time of anesthesia and surgery. You might be asked to complete a clinic screening and provide consent, as long as your results fit their safety and screening thresholds.

  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Be able to speak English
  • Be able to walk around (a cane or walker is okay)
  • Be a patient in the pre-surgery Anesthesia and Surgical Screening (PASS) clinic
  • Have a DASI score under 34 on the screening questionnaire
  • Be able to sign informed consent
