Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of systemic lupus (SLE).
  • You are female, age 18 to 45, and have not reached menopause.
  • Your lupus symptoms are currently low activity (SLEDAI-2K score 4 or less).
  • You are taking prednisone less than 10 mg per day and have been on a stable dose of chloroquine.
  • You must not be pregnant and must not be currently taking vitamin B12 and/or folic acid supplements.
