- Be older than 18 years
- Be willing and able to consent for the study
- Receive care at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock (DHMC) ear/hearing clinic, or work for Dartmouth/DHMC, or qualify through community enrollment under COVID rules
- Have hearing loss (the study aims to include a range of severities)
- No known brain problems such as brain tumors or past stroke
- No history of seizures, and no blindness
