Who can take part

  • You can give informed consent (or a parent/guardian can for children)
  • If you’re in the cochlear-implant group: you must be an adult (18+) or a child (at least 3 months)
  • You must be a native speaker of American English
  • You must currently use a cochlear implant from Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, or MED-EL (with certain models)
  • You must be able to complete the study tasks (listening/testing) as required
