Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your blood cultures show Staphylococcus aureus, and the sample was taken within 72 hours before randomization
  • You have a catheter-related bloodstream infection (likely tied to your catheter), and any involved catheter was removed before the study starts
  • The infection is caused by one type of Staphylococcus aureus (not multiple germs), and the bacteria are not dalbavancin-resistant
  • You have received no more than 72 hours of effective antibiotic treatment aimed at Staphylococcus aureus before randomization
  • You can sign the informed consent form yourself
