Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed infection (lung or bloodstream) caused by a type of bacteria called Acinetobacter that is resistant to many antibiotics.
  • You are between 18 and 82 years old.
  • You can have a central line or PICC line placed for IV medications.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease or need dialysis.
  • You do not have a very low white blood cell count (neutropenia).
