MRI-based imaging to guide treatment in nasopharyngeal cancer

Who can take part

  • You have newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma that is confirmed by biopsy (non-keratinizing or keratinizing type)
  • Your general health is good, with an ECOG score of 0–1 (able to carry out most daily activities)
  • Your blood counts are adequate: white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets are above set minimums
  • Your liver and kidneys are working well (liver tests within 2.5× normal; kidney function with creatinine clearance ≥60)
  • You can have MRI scans safely and are able to follow the study plan
  • You have not had chemotherapy or radiotherapy before (except certain limited exceptions for skin cancers)
