This trial compares standard genetic counseling with a more personalized approach for people considering or receiving TP53 genetic testing. It may help by seeing which counseling style better supports you before and after testing for a TP53 inherited change.

Who can take part
- Be age 15 or older, or have a parent/guardian join for you if you’re under 15
- Pregnancy is allowed (you can still take part if eligible in other ways)
- Be able to participate in English
- Be getting genetic counseling for TP53 genetic testing, and agree to have TP53 testing OR already have results suggesting a TP53 inherited (germline) mutation
- You must not be advised that you have a low chance of TP53 being inherited, followed by a negative TP53 test
