Who can take part

  • You have a nerve-related bladder problem (from a brain/spine or nerve injury) that affects urine storage or stopping
  • You’re an adult (over 18) and can speak and understand English to consent
  • If your bladder issue is from spinal cord injury, it has been more than 6 months since the injury
  • You can lie on your stomach (prone) for at least 1 hour
  • Your bladder can hold more than 100 mL (checked with bladder pressure testing called urodynamics)
  • You do not have a higher risk of kidney/upper urinary tract worsening
