This Phase 2 study tests whether combining anti–PD-1 treatment with aldesleukin can shrink or control metastatic melanoma or metastatic kidney (renal cell) cancer. It is mainly for people who have either not had anti–PD-1 before, or whose cancer did not respond to prior anti–PD-1 treatment.

Who can take part
- You have metastatic melanoma or metastatic renal cell carcinoma (clear cell type).
- Your cancer must be measurable on scans (doctors can track it).
- You are age 18 or older and in generally good shape (ECOG 0 or 1).
- If you can become pregnant or have a pregnancy-capable partner, you must use birth control during the study and for 4 months after treatment ends.
- Pregnancy test must be negative if applicable; you should not be nursing.
- You must have certain blood and organ health levels and enough time has passed since your last systemic cancer treatment.
