Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for hip arthroscopy to treat problems inside the hip joint (like a labral tear or femoroacetabular impingement).
  • Your condition matches one of the study hip causes, such as labral tear, femoroacetabular impingement, loose bodies, or ligamentum teres tear.
  • You can use a smartphone and will use the free SAGA BFR app as part of the rehab plan.
  • You do not plan to have surgery on both hips within 12 weeks of each other.
  • You are not having certain other hip procedures at the same time, such as peri-acetabular osteotomy or specific soft-tissue repairs (hamstring or glute repairs).
