Who can take part
- You or your child must be between 29 days and 22 years old.
- You or your child must have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has come back after at least one round of treatment.
- If the AML has come back a second time, the patient must be healthy enough to receive intensive chemotherapy.
- If the AML has come back a first time, the patient must not be able to receive certain types of chemotherapy (anthracyclines).
- You or your child must have adequate kidney, liver, and heart function.
- You or your child must have fully recovered from the side effects of previous cancer treatments.
- You or your child must not have Down syndrome, APL, JMML, or active central nervous system leukemia.
- You or your child must not have an active, uncontrolled infection.
- If you are of reproductive potential, you must agree to use effective contraception during the study and for a period after treatment.
