Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a neuromuscular disease such as motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, or muscular dystrophy
  • You can understand the study and give informed consent
  • You are able to follow all study instructions (protocol)
  • Your lung test is not severely obstructed (FEV1/FVC must be 0.7 or higher)
  • You do not have certain recent or serious breathing/airway problems (like an undrained pneumothorax or severe bronchospasm)
