AI PET imaging to guide treatment for head and neck cancer

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).
  • You are being treated with curative intent—treatment meant to try to cure, such as radiation/chemoradiation or primary surgery (sometimes combined treatments).
  • Before treatment starts, you had an FDG PET scan (a scan that uses a small amount of radioactive sugar to show active cancer).
  • You can receive the planned curative treatment at Charité in the radio-oncology/radiotherapy or oral and maxillofacial surgery departments.
  • You have not withdrawn your study consent. If you withdrew, your data can’t be used.
