Who can take part

  • You have ongoing pain on the outer (lateral) side of your ankle with instability
  • Your Beighton score is 4 or higher (a common joint-looseness screening test)
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old
  • Your most recent ankle injury was more than 3 months ago
  • You have not had specific ankle/ligament injury to the deltoid ligament
  • Your lower-leg alignment is within 5 degrees (not more than that misalignment)
