This Phase 1 study uses special imaging to look at lymph vessels in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The goal is to better understand changes in the lymph system in early versus long-standing RA and during certain treatments.

Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older and able to sign consent papers
- You must have RA that fits the study’s definitions of early (≤1 year) or established (at least 10 years)
- Your RA symptoms must be active, including hand joint inflammation confirmed by an ultrasound
- For early RA, you should be on methotrexate (MTX) and not responding enough, or have a flare on MTX and be starting an anti-TNF medicine
- For established RA, you must be on a stable RA medicine for at least 8 weeks (such as MTX, leflunomide, sulfasalazine, hydroxychloroquine, a JAK inhibitor, or a biologic)
- You cannot be allergic to iodine (because the study uses a dye that contains iodide)
