Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old
  • If you join as a patient, you must have active rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, or pulmonary sarcoidosis
  • If you are in the healthy-volunteer group, you must not have an infection or inflammation based on blood or other tests
  • For rheumatoid arthritis: you must not have used disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, biologic medicines, or corticosteroids in the last 2 weeks
  • For vasculitis: you must not have used immunosuppressing medicines, and avoid high-dose glucocorticoids (at least 60 mg) in the last 2 weeks and avoid NSAIDs 1 day before the study
  • For pulmonary sarcoidosis: you must avoid corticosteroids for 1 week and avoid NSAIDs 1 day before the study
