Who can take part

  • Be age 65 or older
  • Have symptomatic severe aortic valve narrowing shown by heart ultrasound (echo)
  • Your aortic valve opening size must be between about 17.5mm and 29mm
  • Your ascending aorta (upper part of the aorta) must be under about 45mm
  • You must have significant symptoms (NYHA class II to IV) and be judged too risky for surgery
  • Be able to give consent and return for required follow-up visits
