Who can take part

  • You are 70 years or older
  • You have severe aortic stenosis with symptoms (your heart ultrasound shows it is severe)
  • You feel limited by your heart condition at least moderately (NYHA class II or higher)
  • You are expected to live more than 1 year after valve treatment
  • Your heart valve shape and blood-vessel anatomy fit what the TAVR procedure needs
  • Two heart surgeons agree you are not suitable for open-heart surgery
