Who can take part
- Your cancer must make a protein called CEA (checked by a blood test or a biopsy of your tumor).
- Your cancer must be advanced or have spread, and there should be no standard treatments that work for you (or you've chosen not to take them).
- You must be able to take care of most of your daily needs (Karnofsky score 60% or higher) and expected to live at least 3 months.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Your blood counts (white blood cells, neutrophils, platelets) and kidney/liver function must be within certain limits.
- You must have tumors that can be measured on scans, and any prior cancer treatment must have ended at least 4 weeks ago.
