Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with prostate cancer (adenocarcinoma) confirmed by biopsy or cell sample
  • Cancer has spread to other parts of the body and is no longer responding to hormone-lowering treatment
  • Testosterone levels lowered to castrate levels (below 50 ng/dL) through surgery or medication
  • Cancer has grown on recent scans or PSA blood tests despite previous treatment
  • Good overall health and able to care for yourself with minimal assistance (ECOG 0–1)
  • Had previous treatments with certain drugs, but not too many (limits on hormone inhibitors and chemotherapy)
