Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older (age 20 or older in Taiwan).
- You have hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) that is advanced and cannot be removed with curative treatment, and it has progressed after prior systemic cancer therapy or you couldn’t tolerate it.
- Your liver is working well enough for treatment (Child-Pugh class A), and your blood tests (AST/ALT, bilirubin, platelets, blood counts, INR) are within required ranges.
- You can be physically active at a level that matches an ECOG score of 0–1, and scans show measurable disease.
- You have hepatitis B or C (HBV on antivirals with low virus level, or HCV with detectable virus or antibodies).
- You have not had prior immunotherapy for liver cancer (nivolumab is immunotherapy), and you do not have certain recent treatments or complications (like recent major radiation or recent stomach/esophagus bleeding).
