Who can take part

  • You must be healthy enough heart-and-lung-wise to safely handle lung surgery
  • You need a plan for minimally invasive surgery to remove part of the lung
  • Your surgery may be lobectomy (remove a lung lobe) or segmentectomy (remove a lung segment)
  • Sleeve lobectomy (special type of lung/airway removal) may also be part of the study
  • There should not be very poor heart-and-lung fitness for surgery
