Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older with severe nosebleeds that did not stop after double packing for more than 48 hours
- You are covered by France’s social security system (or are a beneficiary)
- You are willing to be assigned by chance (randomization) to one of the management strategies
- You can give free, informed written consent before any study tests
- Your nosebleed is not caused by facial or recent surgical injury, and not by a cancer-related tumor
- You have not had prior procedures to block or stop bleeding (ligation or embolization) for this problem
