Who can take part

  • You’re scheduled for elective knee replacement for severe inner-side (medial) osteoarthritis
  • Your front knee ligament (ACL) is intact
  • Your outer-side knee cartilage is full thickness and in good condition
  • Your knee is not too bent inward (varus), and the inner ligament (MCL) is intact
  • Your knee bend is correctable enough (not fixed), and you’re between 50 and 75
  • You must be able to follow study steps, including scans and questionnaires, and be able to consent
