Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for an elective first total knee replacement for end-stage arthritis
  • Your knee surgeon says you can have a cruciate-retaining knee implant (not all implants qualify)
  • You are at least 18 years old (and typically no older than about 80 at the time of surgery)
  • You can understand the study and sign written consent (and answer questionnaires)
  • You can follow the study steps, including having any required CT scans
  • You do not need a kneecap (patella) resurfacing as part of your planned surgery
