  • You have biopsy-proven metastatic colon cancer
  • Your cancer plan is to use irinotecan as a second or later treatment (every 2 weeks) at a set starting dose
  • You are well enough for study treatment (performance status 0–1)
  • Your blood and liver/kidney tests are within trial limits (your team will confirm)
  • You do NOT have a specific genetic marker called UGTA1A* (your team can test this)
  • You can take oral supplements and are not currently taking antibiotics
